"We are a group of Newborn Intensive Care Unit nurses from St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond.
Three years ago a couple of us took up road biking and loved it. Word spread and on days off more and more were joining us. There are about 20 of us now.
We bike anywhere from 10 to 50 miles a ride. A few of us have participated in weekend group bike trips. Some of our bikers are even training for a triathlon. In addition to the fun we've had it has also been great for our fitness. One of the girls has lost over 50 pounds and is no longer taking blood pressure medicine. It's a great way to blow off steam."
